"Concrete" was the result of VANNI's collaboration with Christian Chironi, a young Italian artist and winner of the #vanniartistroom Prize at Artissima 2019. The capsule collection of artist's eyewear is inspired by the incredible houses he has lived in: the coating of the metal shell, with a matte varnish with a rough-touch effect, hints at the materiality of concrete. This model is inspired by l'Unitè d'Habitation in Marseille, an apartment complex designed by Le Corbusier that influenced the use of sunshades on the front and side rods. The colors echo the polychromes of the apartment walls.
